Our Lamblion Holiday Apartment has undertaken a grand commitment to decrease our environmental footprint and increase the sustainability of our services while enhancing your experience.

Alternative energy sources, waste Management, and Water Conservation are only some of the ways the Lamblion Holiday Apartment participates in sustainable tourism practices.

Photovoltaic technologies are installed to produce up to 50% of the accommodation’s power requirements on a daily basis. Energy-efficient solar water heaters, LED technology, and automated energy management systems are helping to decrease greenhouse gas emissions.

Our apartments exercise proficient water management practices, rainwater harvesting, wastewater recycling, and the installation of low-flow faucets, showerheads, and other fixtures.

Solid waste too, is sorted and where possible, identified, to be re-purposed, or composted for garden fertilizer.

We are respectful of the environment, and acknowledge the need not only to reduce our negative impact, but to increase our positive impact on the surrounding environment and communities and, wherever possible to augment sustainable practices that can beneficially contribute to Antigua.

At the Lamblion Holiday Apartment, we take our responsibility for our local environment seriously and we are committed to operating in a safe, clean, and environmentally-friendly way. To this end, we have formed a new Environmental Committee, ‘The Green Team’—a working party of passionate individuals whose mission is to step up and find innovative and creative ways to make our accommodation a better place in our environment.

The goals of The Green Team are to create a sustainable environment while adding value for our stakeholders. All the members are volunteers and meet monthly to review the work in progress and to discuss new initiatives.

The Lamblion Holiday Apartment will not participate in any activity concerning Human Trafficking. Child labour is not tolerated, any child not yet 16 years old will not be employed nor encouraged to seek employment elsewhere. We will also not have any involvement in bribery, corruption, and child exploitation. The Lamblion Holiday Apartment is an equal-opportunity employer. Quality CONCEPT

The Lamblion Holiday Apartment is committed to the Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Tourism sustainable accommodation guidelines. We are registered according to Antigua and Barbuda laws and in full compliance with all relevant international or local legislation and regulations, including health, safety, labour, and environmental aspects.

As a short-term accommodation business, we consider every guest who visits us an extremely important person. We are obliged to provide each guest with a level of service that is consistently excellent and seize every opportunity to wow our guests every time. We actively encourage guests to review us on well-known sites such as Trip Advisor and Booking.com, and we follow up on feedback with an action plan.

Training and Development

The Lamblion Holiday Apartment boasts of a culture of continuous training, Management has undergone training regionally and internationally in modules related to sustainability management. In so doing, management and Staff continue to gain current information and act on it. Training is of utmost importance to management, so that the Lamblion Holiday Apartment meets legislative and environmental standards, and assists employees to make the best use of their abilities. Thus, they can become more professionally equipped, eventually growing into a holistic attitude, and becoming part of our corporate culture.

How we train and develop

Training is being conducted for new members as part of their induction program; employees receive more training in the respective areas in which they are employed. However, all employees are informed of our efforts on effective energy and water usage, and how to reduce waste.

Environmental Protection Awareness

We ensure employees are well aware of their responsibilities to look after the environment and, learn how to use resources efficiently.

Employees are trained in Health and Safety policies and Regulations to understand how to protect themselves, co-workers, and guests. This ensures that no one gets hurt and the business is not penalized for failure to adhere to regulations. Comprehensive training regarding COVID-19 will continue as new information about the virus and its spread/control becomes available.

Training is conducted in Quality Management to ensure the consistent delivery of service that meets the high standards set by the owners. Employees are taught that Guests expect quality service and reward it with loyalty and referrals. When guests know they can expect to receive the same level of service every time they visit, we will have achieved effective quality management.

Training is conducted to turn management and Staff’s attention to Humanitarian assistance as it pertains to the social and ecological aspects of our surroundings and to plan, implement, and evaluate outreach efforts. Training is also conducted to bring awareness to modern-day slavery, exploitation radicalization, trafficking & abuse.

Health and Safety

At the Lamblion Holiday Apartment, we take the Health and Safety of our employees and guests very seriously. Accident prevention is of vital importance to us as it does not only cause physical and mental pain but is also costly to our business.

While the final responsibility for the safety program lies with the managers, the program cannot succeed without the full cooperation of all staff members. Everyone must be one hundred percent safety conscious in everything he or she does while on the job. We are confident that with a sincere and concentrated effort from everyone, our safety goals can be achieved.

We follow strict environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and procedures to conserve and protect the environment and create a workplace where we bring the best out of our colleagues while avoiding the risk of injury. Colleagues are appropriately trained to make them aware of health and safety issues while working. Guests are made aware of danger by appropriate signage and verbal communication.

Our goal is to work safely at all times, think about hazard prevention in all that we do, and minimize accidents so that we, as Staff Members, can feel comfortable and confident at all times and be proud of our commitment to safety. Guests too, will feel safe with a sense of security while on the premises.
