For your convenience, independence, and ease of getting around, feel free to rent a car from us. To ensure your car’s availability, please reserve your car when you book your room.

Driving in Antigua

In order to drive a car in Antigua and Barbuda, a temporary Antiguan driver’s license is necessary and available from us. The local license is US$20/EC$50.

To obtain this temporary driver’s license, please present a valid original driving license with the country of issue. You must be between 25-70 years of age and have been the holder of a driver’s license for no less than two (2) years. Persons over 70 years are issued a driver’s license only after specific requirements are met by the Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board.

The cost of your car rental is payable by Credit Card – VISA or MASTER.

Insurance

Your vehicle is covered by insurance including EC$350,000-2,000,000.00 liability for passengers and third-party personal injury coverage.

You are responsible for up to EC$3,000.00 for loss or damage of the vehicle caused by accident, fire or theft, regardless of who is at fault. This includes damage to tires, rims, damaged or lost keys, or cigarette burns to upholstery.

Arrangements can be made for you to be picked up and dropped off at the airport in your new rental, or we can pick you up, check you in, and then present you with your keys. The choice is yours.

Fuel Charges

A fair fuel policy is adopted, which requires the vehicle returned with the same amount of fuel you picked it up with.
