What self-catering means at LambLion
Self-catering means you have everything you need to cook and live independently: no fixed meal times, no resort menu, no paying for food you did not eat. You can make breakfast in your pyjamas, pack a picnic for the beach and cook fresh fish for dinner, then pick the herbs for it from our garden.

Why choose self-catering in Antigua?
- Value: you pay for the apartment, not for meals and extras you may never use. Cooking some of your own meals keeps a holiday budget under control.
- Freedom: eat when you like, come and go as you please, and explore the island instead of staying put at a resort.
- Space: a living room and kitchen as well as a bedroom, which matters on longer trips and with children.
- Local life: shop at local markets and supermarkets and try Antiguan produce for yourself.

Shopping and cooking while you are here
St John’s has supermarkets and a public market for fresh produce, and many visitors do one big shop on arrival, then top up during the week. Our garden has herbs and tropical fruit that guests are welcome to pick responsibly. Not sure where to start? Ask us. We are happy to tell you where we shop.
Where we are
LambLion is on Freemans Main Road, Belleview Estate, in the centre of Antigua between Sea View Farm and Freemans Village. That puts St John’s about 20 minutes away, the nearest beaches around 15 minutes, Nelson’s Dockyard about 20 minutes, and V.C. Bird International Airport about 9 km away. A hire car is the easiest way to explore, and parking is free.
